specs say 22Wrms/ch but same difference.. should be ok.. 100Wrms/ch amp would be different story

If you are frying stock wiring I would love to know what sort of drivers you are using, and also the level at which you have been listening.
I use some serious speaker cable in my home system to drive quality floorstanding speakers... I feel there is a gain over basic cheap speaker 'wire' but even then I'm not so sure I would be able to pick it 100% of the time in a double blind test.
The length of speaker cable runs in a car are so short that I don't think there would be much perceivable difference in quality. Especially in a Type R...
Anyway, whatever floats your boat I guess!
