      haven't pulled it apart yet.. Hoping its just the syncros but starting to doubt that..

      once i buy the syncros then i will pull it apart and see what else need replacing..

      also here is somthing to laugh at.. I asked Honda how much for a type R rear spoiler/wing. and the quote was $1250 GTFO

        UPDATE:

        JDMyard gave me a quote for $845 for 1st to 5th gear Synchros
        thanks to Yonas for all the help.
        ETA 2-3 weeks.

              You may want to buy the counter gears & main gears also.
              They tend to get rooted faster than the syncros in a K-box...

              Also, FWIW the internals from a 6 speed will go straight into your 5 speed case...

                  I have a (70,000km) Type S gearbox for sale and a 2 x Type R rear spoilers for sale.
                  (1 x blue, 1 x white)

                    when we pull apart the gear box we will see what else needs replacing,
                    so car could be off the road for a few weeks.
