Hey i been having problems with my gearbox.
It was crunching from 2nd to 3rd gear at high reves, but not low reves so i backed off it heaps.. the next day it wasn't as bad but still happened so i went out and bout the OEM honda manual tanny oil and flushed the old stuff out. They was little bits of metal in the oil which is common i was told by a mate.
The new oil is in and fixed the problem for at least a day, not it's back and it's not so much grinding but in 3rd gear it sounds like something is loose, (metal noise)..
I also check the clutch and its fine.. Im thinking its a syncro thats on it's way out.. any thoughts????
also that means whole gearbox out, replace the syncro and what ever else is damaged..
OR
Just been thinking bout a K20A type R gearbox... I know this means i go from 5 gears to 6 but is it a direct bolt on?? and the wiring looms need to be changed?? or ecu need to change???
this option is the most expensive but it solves the problem. lol
any help is welcome.
