How much was a replacement OEM?
I would've just gone for a Koyo. Atleast you know it's better than stock.

mm..dunno..looks like koyo's factory is in indonesia? according to their website? i went for stock, as if i had gone aftermarket, i know i would have regretted not geting the ARC..

tinks, last track day peak coolant temp was ~ 100-110degC from memory. peak oil temp was 130degC. as soon as the water temp goes over 100, oil temp almost reaches 130, i do 2 cooldown laps..

my coolant at last track day peaked at 117'C which resulted in spliting my radiator bottom tank...

FYI - there are several Koyo factories in Japan:

last time i ran 1 warm up, 1-2 hot laps then 1 cool down lap... then atleast 20 minutes break and repeat on the track.. and the car was still "stinking hot" in the pits (i have no temp guage but the water temp didnt move).. and that was a cool day..

imagine the nov track day turns out to be 35 degrees or something? (considering Adelaide got 38degrees today)

                          it could be a nightmare.

how hot was in on your last track day Tinkerbell?

it was only around 22-24 degrees, but i was running in two sessions (two drivers), so only had 15 minute break between sessions...

it lasted 4 sessions before the problem arose...

also your B20 would run a bit hotter as its making more power...

hmm..yes i have been on the koyo homepage..i noticed they had several factories in japan and in indonesia. i would prefer not to have an indonesian radiator in my car, id rather a standard japanese denso..actually i emailed koyo to find this info out but no response yet.
