hey guys, i just took the iacv off and sprayed a crapload of TB cleaner at/in it... when i start the car up, and give the accel a small (very very soft) jab it seems to drop in revs then picks up again, as if it was choking for a split second.. is this normal?

it was abit too dark for me to check the mounts but ill do that on the weekend..
i took apart the dizzy but i dont know what im supposed to be looking at? lol?

im rather confused at what could be the problem :S

Yes the dropping in RPM is normal -- Its a preload condition so that under/approaching full throttle you don't flood the cylinder (overstatement, but provide over rich which would make it stutter before accelerating). Almost trying to anticipate that happening with a quick change in throttle position indicating you are likely to WOT shortly..

hmm.. i see.. thanks for that info ewen..

i noticed when its idling, i can tell that its slightly 'spluttering' (sp?).. as if its got high lift cams or something..

i did a search on ozhonda and problems like this can be caused by the dizzy/icm/coil, or the leads.. as it could be a spark problem...

Have you taken it to Honda for a ECU diagnostic.
Could also be O2 sensor or other sensors.
