◄◄◄◄ The Wheel Fitment Thread ►►►►

    Wheel fitment. Serious business.

Fairly often I get people asking me about what wheels will fit their car, particularly DC5s. I thought it might be an idea to make a thread to discuss what wheels will fit our and cars what are appropriate sizes, tyres and offsets. The wheel fitment in this thread doesn't necessarily have to be extreme, crazy sized wheels and tyres aren't for everyone. If you have a nice set of aftermarket wheels post pics with wheel, tyre and alignment specs along with any modifications required to make them fit . Also ask any questions you might have about fitting wheels in this thread.

    OEM Wheel and Tyre Specs

    AUDM DC5R 16x6.5 +45 205/55
    DC5S 17x7 +45 215/45
    AUDM DC2R 15x6 +50 195/55
    EP3R 17x7 +45 205/45

Here are some examples of the outer limits of wheel and tyre sizes on Integras and Civics that I have seen. All of these setups required aggressive alignments and guard modifications.

    ChargeR
    F: 17x9.5 +15 with 255/40
    R: 17x8.5 +30 with 235/45

    Mugsee
    F: 17x9.5 +24 with 255/40
    R: 17x8.5 +37 with 235/45

    Wlee2
    F: 15x7 +20 with 205/50
    R: 15x7 +20 with 205/50

    TYPE S Syndrome from ClubRSX
    F: 18x9 +12
    R: 18x10 +20

    XqiZit from ClubRSX
    F: 17x9 +15 with 255/40
    R: 17x9 +35 with 255/40

    t0mmysays from Honda-Tech
    F: 16X9 +20 with 225/40
    R: 16X9 +35 with 225/40

    Some random EP3
    F: 17x9 +35 with 245/40
    R: 17x9 +35 with 245/40

Just trying to help people out a little, so they don't have to fly blind like I did when I bought my wheels .

          17x7 +40 - 225/45/17
Nothing special was needed to get them to fit

          17x8 +35 - 225/45/17
Rear needs a bit of camber (Best shown in pic 2).
I find this a really good set up, for a mix of street and track (Or hardparker in my case ). I don't get any scrubbing or rubbing on the guards (No modifications were done), yet still has an aggressive stance, and has noticeable corner speed gains.

          Current alignment settings:
          - Camber
          Front: -0.04
          Rear: -3.10

          - Caster - Front
          Left: 1.26
          Right: 0.54

          - Toe
          Front: 0.10
          Rear: 0.10

Hope this helps with your listing

Similar stuff to what you did to your car to fit your wheels just more so. I suspect that car had more camber than you and more ghetto guards . Post up your alignment specs guy and a short tutorial on fitting +20 to a DCpoo .

without getting too far off track with questions and what not.

If guys are getting rims on with these dimensions, would it be safe to say that offsets a little more tame would achieve the same success?

That would entirely depend on what you call success.

Questions are what this thread is for . Anything smaller than the sizes and offsets shown above will fit obviously but you still may need guard rolling and an aggressive alignment.

Comments: Fitment was fine. No rubbing. Probably could have done with more camber both front and rear.
