Camber adjustment

Quick question.

How does a tyre shop go about adjusting camber on a stock dc2r for the purposes of a wheel alignment?

you cant via a OEM adjuster.

you *might* by loosening the UCA's, but not by much!!!

Just wondering, as it would seem a pain in the ass to adjust the camber using these adjustible tops...especially if you required a specific setting, and the person doing the work didn't have any patience. So being able to fine tune it slightly without having to dismantle half the suspension would have been nice.

Adjustable tops won't do anything on a DC2R. You'll need adjustable UCA's if you want to adjust camber. Once installed though its easy to adjust.

Sorry, I didn't literally mean adjustable tops...tops being my shorthand for UCA. I thought that was a given :P

Without having the car jacked up, its hard for me to imagine how cramped it could be. Sure it might be easy to adjust, but in terms of fine tuning it, wheel on/off it might be tedious...guess its better then nothing.

Just jack up the car and adjust. No need to take wheel off. Very easy. My rears I have done once on the ground, just got underneath. Can't have everything.

I had an alignment done with my DC5R yesterday. I didn't quite get the camber that i wanted, it has been set to -2*3' and that was the maximum that my coilovers would let me on the front.

What would i need to dial in more negative camber for the fronts?

Camber bolts could help u get another degree or so.
I used 2 pairs of camber bolts and got -1.8deg on my fronts with oem sussy.

Like daz said, it can also depend on ur coilovers with the amount of camber u get from them. but if ur not happy, get camber bolts!

As others have said camber bolts are the solution. Be aware that Whiteline bolts are simply repackaged Ingalls bolts so you may be able to get them direct from the U.S. cheaper.
