    of course for the first few minutes of driving with s-tyres and brake pads designed for street/circuit application you have to be mindful of worse-than-standard levels of grip/braking, but this is still a lot better than a 10year old commondoor on worn nankangs (ie 90% of the cars around you)
    i read that motor magazine article and i swear they heated the semis and the full slick they testd prior to each run, could be wrong
