I'm sure you have plenty of parts you can sell for money guy.

Would love a set to try as well.

        Too bad currency is gay.

Already finding it hard to get RE55s out of Japan. I just picked up some of the last 225/40 R18s available over there. Will switch to these once I've gone through the 2 sets of RE55s.

The A048/50 is an overated overpriced lump of rubber. You get more use out of them but the RE55 is a much grippier tyre.

                thanks for the info!

looks like 1 magic compound that replaces the old soft, med and hard compound which sounds like the ideal solution for me to replace the too soft R888 and too hard RE55s sr2 for my eg in 15".

question remains when they will be avail in aust though.

I do mostly sprints, auto-x, hill climbs and I found the RE55S SR2 to be quite rubbish for these events. Rear tire temp is a big problem for my current setup.
You guys get a lot of warm up time with the events you do?

2 laps of Wakefield Park before the rears are up to temp.

will be a while before they make it to australia i reckon..
i have SR compound RE55s and find them to be very good for trackdays and street use, definitely not 'rubbish'. most guys at our track days seem to get better times with them than A048s too, even though the yoko's are more expensive. i think low rear tyre temp will be a common theme with most FF cars on the track. perhaps some tyre pressure adjustments may improve the situation?

on the subject of re55s - good news for dc2r guys wanting to run 16s - RE55S are now available in australia in 215/45 R16 !!! yay this means u dont have to run the 205/50 16s with the larger than optimum diameter..
also, u can get RE-01R's from Bridgestone Australia now too!

urgh... i've already had 215/45/16 for the re55s for a couple of months now from gordon leven.

damn no good sizes in 16s for the re01r only 225/55/16 WTF!? only would fit like s2k wheels or something

^But your car is so fast, that if you had 15's the centrifugal force of the wheels spinning would create a black hole.
