mine can go to 9200...but the curve is flat after 8800....dont see the point to rev that high except for the sound it makes

Why would you mod around a Mugen ECU?

May be too late, but did a valve spring replacement about a month ago, in car.

Used this very nice B and H series specific valve spring installation system - details at

Took me most of a day as I was doing cams and camgears as well, and the timing belt, but I didn't have to remove the head from the motor, which was a big bonus.

$65 USD - postage I forget but it arrived in 5 days.

Mugen do have internals.....and Mugen N1 motor is available for sale.....which I can get my hand on it.....its 260 hp but its about 12000 plus labour....my next 4 years saving....lol

yeh i seen one (N1 motor) for sale on ebay a while back, is was england and i'm sure they were asking 4000 pound!

is it really worth all that trouble to rev the extra 800rpm??? will you get gain from that 800 rpm?

watch out for oil cavitation. the oil pump does not work well at that rpm range. It might not show failure tomorrow, next week...but eventually the motor block will let go...
