DC2R OEM Clutch (how long did yours last?)

I was hoping this thread could capture how long a OEM DC2R clutch lasts and what happens when it "goes" (ie did it do any damage)..

    so please post your experiences

(I am at 145,000km and considering the idea that i replace it at 150k before it goes and does any damage)

130,000 when I replaced the clutch & fly ... the center springs were about to break out of the clutch plate. Not sure how much damage this might cause, but I can't imagine it would have been pretty.

Interestingly though, The friction material would have lasted a lot longer...

i think the longevity would aslong depend on how one drives the car.

i think under normal drving conditoins should last 150 000 kms easy.

I changed mine in my DC2R at 45 or 47,000kms.. Mines sitting on about 86,500kms now with the 2nd clutch, no dramas..

I dont know the depth of my remaining clutch as i've never taken it off, however at 115,000 kms, i can feel no signs of slipping at all. the pressure is still there, and feels very firm and stable.

                        135,000KMS + 5 trackdays = still going!

I rev-matched every downshift and used minimal clutch so I think that's why it's still going strong...

130,000km – including about 35 tracks days, 2 dyno days and 5-6 years of daily driving through city traffic. Tough little buggers aren’t they?

Some of my gearbox syncros were on their last legs (crunchy, grindy gear changes) so at 130,00km I got a new clutch, syncro rings and flywheel fitted. Should be good for a few more years.

If I change the nut behind the wheel then my sloppy lines improve and I can get some consistency to sort out my iffy handling, my worrying lack of braking ability goes away, after that I can start fretting about my suspicious lack of straight line grunt.

I changed my first OEM one at 75,000km's.

Then changed my next one, as the stupid new Toda flywheel was not machined flat.

Now on my 3rd one. LOL.
