dc5s exhaust choices

just trying to decide on an exhaust for my dc5s

my choices so far are fuji pg / fugi rm01a / toda / mugen / js racing 60rs

looking for something that isnt too loud and under 2k...

so far i like the mugen coz its quiet but looks ugly (twin-loop)

toda - dont know much about noise level for this

js racing - cheap considering its Ti. dont know how it sounds with silencer though

i know the fujis are cheap but cud never work out the difference between the two of them...


btw will also be getting toda headers since lot cheaper then mugen (just to consider for noise factor) and gruppe m or js racing intake


any experience with any of these??

No offence but this topic has been covered so many times for DC5's, why can't you type in exhaust in an advanced search and flip through the results ?

Indeed. All the exhausts you listed are 60ish mm and they only really have varying sound levels and materials. Power gains will be minimal so just pick the one that fits your budget, sound and aesthetic requirements.

I have seen and heard a DC5S with toda headers and catback. It sounds great and is not be too loud for street use. Do you like the design of the axle-back of the toda?

FGK PG Vs rm01a.

I have the PG. Very quiet down low but opens up around 5K rpm...link
With stock headers rm01a is quieter then the PG but will be louder after headers are installed.

Not too sure about the other 2. I think the mugen is too quiet and a bit exy.

Most of these should fit your budget easily.

i have tried searching but get more confused with each thread i read

toda is gud bcoz can get good deal if i get headers as well from adrian@toda au.

if js racing isnt too loud prefer this since its Ti (bling and weight) but dont know how it sounds with a silencer

i like the muffler design of these exhausts as well (curved and blue tip)

not too keen on the fujis .... look just like any other cannon out there(too much of a stock look) ... want somehting different....

If you have a rear lip for your Type S, something similar to a type R, try out the Trust TiC exhaust, the blue tip looks sweet =) if u dont have a rear lip dont get it because in my opinion cannon looks tooo stand out with lip.

LoL if you want it to be quiet then get the Mugen. Once you get headers most of them will be v. loud (unless you fit a silencer).

I am going to take a wild guess and say bad. Most exhausts sound bad with a silencer. I don't think you would even need a silencer with a 60RS.
