DC2R Camber Kit - Need Help

So I got a wheel alignment done after getting the stock settings of camber, toe, etc. I told them my car was veering left (more than normal).

Printed out settings and I have too much negative camber on the driver's side both front and rear. He said this will cause my car to veer left.

The setting is -1°29' front and -1°24' rear.
The left side is ok at -0°32' and -0°52'.

First question is, how did my right side camber become like that as compared to my left side?

Second question... he said he can install a camber adjuster for me for the front driver's side only, and quoted me $229 installed with 'free' wheel alignment.

Should I be taking it there to get one side installed only, or should I buy a known camber kit that you guys use and get left and right side as well as front and rear? What kits do you recommend, how much are they, and who can install it?

hmmm, dont take it back there?

    take it else where...

sorry, that is all i got.

but srsly - the 1'29 front camber is fine (close to OEM), it is the 0'32 (much too low!!!!) that is the problem!!!

Bwahahahaha! Camber adjustment on one wheel only? Why not get a complete front and rear camber kit and take it to someone that knows what they're talking about.

Like Dave said, low negative camber is not a good thing. -1.5 is a good base for a road going FWD at the front and -1.0 rear. Remember that camber is not the cause of tyre wear, toe in/out is.

I agree with my illustrious colleagues. Get a set of front and rear 'camber kits', otherwise known as adjustable suspension arms, and even out the camber. The settings that m0nty recommends should be nice for a street car, you could possibly even go back to around -0.5 at the rear. Zero camber is evil . If you are concerned about tyre wear set toe to zero.

            Learned colleague then?

I think it might be worth investigating why your car has 1 degree of difference in camber side to side at both front and rear. My car has been crashed heaps and still has the same amount of difference it always had, around .4 degrees.

Could it be that the guy that suggested fitting a "camber kit" to just one wheel doesn't know what he's doing?

so what camber kits do you guys recommend?
what would cause inside tyre wear? toe in or toe out?
toe in is positive measurement? i.e. +1.0mm?

Dave, from that table you posted before, factory settings for camber seem low... And I showed the dude at jax this and when he checked my settings, that's why he said I needed to adjust the camber on driver's side coz too much camber from factory.

Not too sure about DC2, but good quality DC5 adjustable suspension arms are Skunk 2 and J's Racing. Maybe go down the same path with your DC2. I know there are plenty of people here with adjustable arms on their DC2s.

Bot toe in/out will cause tyre wear but it all comes down to how much. If it were my car I'd run 0 toe all round, -1.5 front and -1.0 rear for street.

For track use, 0 toe front and -4.5 camber, 1mm toe in rear and -1.5 camber.

I use the Skunk2 Pro arms both front and rear. They are good.

HAHAHHA... you have to say J's don't you Sam.

I use Cusco rear camber arms on the rear. I have left it at the front for now...
As for Toe... I use 0.2 mm toe out front, and 0.8mm toe out rear - I like to have my back end running.
