If you go to a half decent workshop they should have a protable air/fuel meter. Just get them (or you) to do a quick lap to check the mixture reading at WOT

is the car stock????????
if its burning oil, and you have aftermarket exhaust, it will be one of your probz, considering you have changed pcv, fuel filter and the rest of the things you mentioned......my car was the same, btu i had headers and exhaust......hence, not enough back preassure and it blew the oil out..........i got vafc tuned, and it solved problem a little bit, but now that its boosted it has a heap more back pressure and doesnt burn any oil at all.
good luck

MY DC5R if the ignition doesn't show the battery light and i start the car and when it starts it burns the engine oil... but it rarely happens, and most of the time if it doesn't show i just take my key out and stick it in and its fine...
just wondering is this a big issue or not??? I'm running a k100 tuned with injen CAI, toda manifold.
when running fine,... at about 7800 it blow i bit of smoke.. but i was told thats normal..

what could be causing my car to run so rich?
i am also losing oil,i've done a compression test
and leakdown test and everything is fine..
i've swapped o2 sensors
replaced pcv valve
what else could be my problem?
is the smoke black or blue? black is fuel, blue is oil...
if you are burning oil :
The leak down test is normally done with piston at TDC. Ask them to do again with piston at middle and at bottom.. Cause TDC does not detect issues on the middle and bottom of block. only detects issues with rings and valve seals etc.
If this comes back perfect and they done it properly than its just oil slugh to your PCV, whcih shouldnt happen much with street driving..
Project: Machine myself a heavy gear knob
