if you plan to keep it NA. then as mentioned i/h/e + ecu will make a world of difference to the way the car drives.

    on my previous dc2r i had;
    -dynodave/plazmaman intake
    -dynodave headers
    -top fuel catback exhaust
    -hondata s300 (dynodave tuned)

the car was an absolute beauty to drive. It pulled 123kw atw on the dyno and ran a 13.66 down the 1/4. I would stay away from intake brands like mugen as they are nothing more than just jdm bling when the money could be better spend elsewhere.

i like the way you are thinking.. =P

i think those mods would be about under 6k.. to get those all done..

hey John how much power u think u would have gained from stock with those mods?

            Reading comprehension > You .

Wlee2 is asking whether he dyno'd stock to compare and how much power he gained over stock .

We all know the rough bench mark for a bone stock dc2r is ~101kw atw... though some ppl do tend to claim that their dc2r's pull closer to 110..

                rough benchmark..

sorry i dont work on estimates.. =P its a marketing scheme to make people think their car pulled more power than it actually did =P..

Well, to be exceptionally anal about the whole thing, dyno's are estimates... educated estimates to give it more merit.

sorry im going to go against this Benchmark thing..

for example i bring in my stock Dc2r, they install a pod and it pulls 110kw at their dyno and claims that stock dc2r get 101 KW atw.. i just gained 9kw atw from a stupid pod..

but infact the dc2r prolly pulled 106kw on that dyno stock..

it may be an estimate but its still more accurate if you had known what your car did stock to begin with.. the Type R are a hand built car not all of them pull exactly the same we can get freak cars and bad ones..

Yeah, Mugen don't know anything about designing intakes at all... it's just all about the bling...

Well felix just got 19KW from his full exhaust. So 15 should be achievable
I thought a mugen airbox would yield around 5
And an ECU & Dyno tune combine another 5 or so.

                          Unreasonable?

If you have time on ur hands, sell your motor and gearbox for about hmmm....8k?
                            8+6 = 14....
                            14k gets you a nice k swap
for 14k you can buy a spoon built k series with internal fully balance and good ecu too.....thats not a bad idea.....I may help you to find out what price tag they try to sell it....

...ooookay then - how much would you expect to yield then from that combo?

                                15 - 20?
