      I don't necessarily want massive power... just a noticible change.
      If i could leave my car in someone elses hands and get it back with the right things done then i would... cos i have NO idea where to start.

      maybe i should continue researchin what all these things do

          all those mods i mentioned above im sure you will notice change.. just not Huge Buttwrenching torque turbo change..

          those mods will give you enough to have fun.. although if it were my type R.. i would do intake, extractors and exhaust, and get some nice suspension.. and i had to hit a 6k budget...

                  You want power now but a ride in a dc2r with nicely modified suspension might change your mind.

                  If you really want a large amount of power turbo is definitely an option. I have ridden in a certain member's turbro dc2 vtir with 150ish kW at the wheels and it does scoot along nicely.

                    yeh, but i only know 2 other ppl that own a dc2R, one is stock, the other only has the ARC kit which he wants to put on my car cos he is selling his...

                        this guy gained 12.3kW@wheels from headers+cat+exhaust
                        no intake and stock ecu

                        12.3 translates to about 16kw@fly
                        intake and tuned ecu should be able to bring that up to about 30@fly....

                          Mugen has three advantages:
                          1. It is legal
                          2. It was not designed by some fool with a pipe bender
                          3. It's moogen :P

                          Kidding about the last two. Sorta.

                          For 6k I would maybe spend 3k on suspension and then the rest on intake, exhaust and header.

                              The only turbo'd DC2R ive seen is Deans (DLO01) - who makes 204fwkw which is a mean figure.

                              He has spent $10-15K id say.
