I always heard exedy heavy duties, different stages, are they all different clutches? I have also heard that toda clutches are just rebranded exedy, if so what advantage do they have over the exedy ones?

Just fitted my toda flywheel and excedy clutch yesterday, first impressions are great. Revs pick up alot easier (the reason to do this mod) also drop fast aswell. Tiu i will look for my part number for the excedy hd clutch i got, organic disc with heavier than stock pressure plate. more bite than stock but not much differance in clutch pedal weight yet comes on to the clutch a little earlier. No more noise than stock clutch driven only in traffic so far.Highly recomend both parts to all.Took two of us around 4.5 to 5 hours at an easy pace.

can you feel faster acceleration in 1st gear from low revs to red line?

        anything in 2nd gear?

how much was the clutch (ballpark)?

00dc2 i have not yet had a good chance to give it a big effort, but its already clear its more a effortless build up of the revs less noticable after 3rd.dont want to get off topic as i have no experance with ORC or toda clutch but very happy with excedy and toda flywheel.i have dc5 and my part number was HD10G.trade price with a little favor was about 500ish. cheak for sale forum as i have seen some great prices there.

I got the exedy sport organic clutch + exedy flywheel fitted at Toda 2 days ago. It's clearly that the rev goes up much easier, also i 'feel' there are many power produce from the car now. could that be something do with the clutch?

the dc5R was my first manual car and the clutch is damn easy to use, now the pedal feel is damn hard. i m soo not used to it, it's like i don't even know how to drive the car anymore..... need more practicing now.

mate, i feel the same way going from my wifes stock Jazz to my Exedy HD Integra...

if i switch cars at the same time - i almost put the foot through the firewall in the jazz when i go for the clutch, and it feels like the clutch is stuck solid first time i press the clutch in the Teg.

you'll get used to it once your brain remembers it has to press a little harder...

i thought the sports organic wasnt so hardcore... :?

the more powerful feel is from less power going into spinning the lighter flywheel and miore into moving the car.. not the clutch

is more apparent in 1st and 2ng gear...

nah, it is only 30% stiffer than standard,

it is just that the brain gets tuned to a certain stiffness - the sensation goes away quite quickly...
