    AMUSE R1 TITAN for DC2R

anybody know much about this exhaust. I know it sounds awesome but that is pretty much it.
Dont know what sort of performance gains it would have.

Leave you opinions guys and girls

have you known aftermarket exhuasts that give a huge differnece in power?

i dont know of anyone that has the amuse exhuast on a dc2r so your question will go unanswered for a long time i guess?

of course its not going to be a miracle 100KW booster.
But what im saying is it will it more power than say for example X-Force exhaust.
Because in the long run if the car really starts to be modified heaps im going to want every little KW extra even if its just a little

Reid on honda-tech.com who has Amuse R1 on both his DC2r's.
              Dyno thread http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1402800

Reid knows his stuff more than just anybody.

This is the only dyno I know of for an Amuse R1.

What you need to support high power(more than just bolt-ons, meaning cams etc) on a DC2R is a high quality 2.5" exhaust, probably with one decent resonator and a straight thru muffler. You can go 2.38OD (alot of JDM are this size) but only with no/small resonators and straight thru muffler.

The highest flowing cheapest cats I know of come from
              http://sms-products.com/Converters.html

If you want to make power then get the best set of extractors that you can afford, Toda, Buddyclub possibly, SMSP, etc.

A custom 2.5 exhaust from Westside or Fussy's probably won't show much performance difference to the AMuse R1.

But getting the cheapest mild steel 2.25 exhaust or an Xforce won't compare to these options, besides the stock ITR exhaust is actually pretty good. I removed the bottle neck after the resonator on mine, combined with a Hi flow cat and quality extractors and found 10kw peak at the wheels without tuning.

So to answer your question, buy the R1 for the points in Jingers post, not because it will out perform a decent, quality 2.5 inch exhaust.

                  LMAO ... X-Force ... Of all choices. Anyway, a bit on Amuse101.

(PRO) Full titanium construction - Not mixed and matched and not stapled on muffler tips. Weight reduction is everything for Hondas especially and Amuse does this better than anyone else including ARC (who have substandard welding quality vs. Amuse). If money is no object, titanium is your answer to exotic materials and maximum weight reduction.

(PRO) R&D expertise - No specific developed variant but I'd be glad to bet my money that Amuse exhaust systems will produce as much power as the leading exhaust systems available. If Amuse makes a product for your make/model, you can be sure it's a premium product with proper engineering and development in place to attain what horsepower is available for your application.

(PRO) Perfecting quality - Material selection (type of titanium used), welding expertise and overall construction is bar none a leader in the exhaust systems business world. The titanium used is approximately 3~5mm thick and can withstand at least double of punishment you put through an SUS304 stainless pipe. While the welding seam lines are perfect (of course some are robotic, most are manually done). With that comes quality and perfecting fitment.

(CON) Titanium properties on sound vibes - Since titanium does not absorb any sound/noise or assist in factoring how the output flow is on dB, what you get is as raw as the pipe will deliver. Unique in sound thanks to the material used, however -> Often louder and produces more drone making it very much more unaccommodating. Then again, these are mostly race pipes, not your daily cruiser equipped items.

(CON) Non-repairable in general - If you break it or severely damage it ala bend/ding it. Chances are, you'd need a replacement pipe where your local exhaust shop cannot work on. Titanium is not like other materials, you cannot simply weld and burn/join in an open environment hence no applicable workshop in general (Unless titanium operators themselves) will have the capability to do any work on it.

(CON) Budget - The biggest show stopper and the separation line between baller and enthusiast. It's expensive, and chances are you'd settle for something else which will produce similar power but of different material type to reduce the cost output from your wallet. No consessions here and Amuse is well known to provide little discounts even to industry traders.

In regards to X-Force and a DC2R, your money is probably better spent elsewhere the car or on a different brand. Probably OK for a muffler, but I think you will find much better results from other exhausts and extractors. Personally I don't think the Xforce exhaust will really make much difference over a stock DC2R exhaust.

                            Hey guys.

Well after much research i have found out that the AMUSE R1000 sits quite low on the car and since its made out of Titanium will get destroyed quite quickly.

Still dont know about the Amuse R1 Titan though so keep your knowlegable thoughts coming.

The pipe configuration on a particular make/model is generally identical unless it is race specific. You have to make note that the R1000 is a race pipe, not a street pipe. How it's configured/bends/runs can differ significantly from the road going R1 Titan pipes. For the DC2R, it runs the same layout with a different pipe diameter, over axle muffler output. It sits low because the B18C configuration itself on the DC2 sits low - attributing to a better CG for handling.
