I disagree with you Sangers, 3 inches is too big imo, its almost stupidly loud for the street, and forget about passing a cop
We havent completed the tests on the new 2.5 inch exhaust system, but its fair to say judging from my bum dyno that this 2.5 inch system feels faster than the 3 inch system I had.
I think it may be due to the following:
1- The 3 inch system and 2.5 inch system difference was not much, but a change from the 3 inch system from the head (ie extractors all the way back to muffler tip) to a merged collector design on a 2.5 inch exhaust and header system feels like there is much more power in the low mid and high end.
2- A well tuned 2.5 inch system creates a much better vacuum under light throttle and mid/partial throttle (how often are you full throttle?)
3- The weight saving, doesnt seem like much, but in NA tuning, kilos off = power.
Not having a go at ya Sangers, this is just my experience
