Coil over question HKS hipermax 2

Basically running on Tein Flex atm, but got a really good offer on a brand new set of HKS hipermax 2.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and woudl they recommend it in comparison the the Flex

I know the HKS is a older design, but doesnt mean its not good?

Would i be upgrading or Downgrading from the Flex

    thanks

never sat in a dc5 with flex....the hks was ok...i found it abit soft...but then i like it stiff and hard

tein flex would be better design, you can set the height with out affecting the spring rate....i'd keep the flex

Hey Chi... I have a set and they're great for street and some track driving. They're rebuildable (so I'm told) and you can buy my set off me! The Front Left strut needs a new top-mount as the pillowball is worn so you'll need to replace both sides with an aftermarket mount. (HKS won't sell it which is farken ridiculous).

I have these on my Integra and cannot fail them.

I am in the proccess of getting them reconditioned as the knocking has become a bit much.
Had the pedders suspension test done and it passed, onto the the specialist.

                I would buy these again.

How much is it to get your suspension reconditioned ?? and if theyre not height adjustable do you just use springs ?

So, how do you "turn" up the spring rates?

i was going to post that same question as well..

cant be done on linear springs but on progressive it can be done..

neway most JDM always use linear springs neway right?

But lowering the spring perch will effect shock travel right?
so how does the Hypermax adjust height?

because the flexes has a spring perch and the height adjuster right?

Wayne you are talking about preload which I believe can not be independently adjusted on the Hypermax 2.

Hypermax 2 is pretty much the same class as the Tein SS. So when you adjust the height you will affect the load on the spring.
