i have a 16 level dampening tein coilover that seems to be going past its 16 point max. Is this normal or a big problem.

it's normal....mine has about 22 clicks....my old hks and bc all had extra clicks as well

the best way to do it is go clockwise all the way (stiffest setting) then unwind/unclick/loosen/go anti-clockwise to suit your needs.

No Problem - Just won't do anything...stays at full soft.

Adrian, told me the same thing with my Fightex CO's....
"...they may go further than the 12th Click (in my case) but it has no further effect".
He also mentioned, "If you get lost, Just go back to full hard & start again."

for my DC5, the instruction book said somewhere that you turn it full stiff (clockwise) then 8 clicks back front and back

Yes, my Tein sussy has more than 16 clicks too. According to the manual it says that you shouldn't do more than the 16 clicks or else there is a potential to damage the coilovers.
