Maybe that's where your extra powah over DC5R is coming from.

You did get an upgrade over the DC5R. You didn't expect to get better gear then the JDM counterpart now did you?

The Australian Type S and JDM Type R are very similar. Same cams, intake manifold etc. However, JDM has higher compression pistons and a slightly more agressive ECU requiring 100 octane fuel.

Yes it can be done but then you would need a new ecu to take full advantage of this.

But saying this, the money you spend is not worth what you it. You would rather go aftermarket cams for a better bang for your buck.

cant you get a pre programmed ECU for the DC5R.
