    JDM dc5r retainers

hi, i m after a set of TODA spec C cams+ valve and willing to rev till 9000 RPM, i have been told to get a set of after market retainers since it's too weak for AUDM dc5r's retainers. but i found JDM dc5r can rev over 9000 RPM wif simply plug an aftermarket ECU in, so i wan to ask whether i can get a set of JDM dc5r retainers or a set of aftermarket titanium retainers and the price compared to each others

aftermarket retainers are not that much more expensive than JDM DC5R ones i wouldn't think, maybe $100 - $200 difference...?
might as well get aftermarket ones, since i don't think it's that "simple" to just get JDM DC5R retainers.

According to the parts manuals, the retainers for the JDM Type R, the new JDM Civic Type R and the American RSX Type S are all the same. I suspect the Australian Type R would also be the same. Haven't checked the part number. However, the part number for the JDM Type R Hondas uses the code of PRB. If the part is unique to the JDM DC5R, then the code would be PRC. Just check with a Honda dealer to see if the Australian part number is 14765-PRB-A00 OR 14765-PRB-A01. If it is, then you already have equivalent to the JDM DC5R. (NB. The Integra iS has different retainers).

I would be interested to find out if the Australian Type R has a different part number.
