Didn't know you were THAT Asian! Were they scared?

Btw, what dealer was this at? I got quoted ~$237 at a local Melbourne Bridgestone dealer for the same size.

Dang, you guys get a pretty cheap price in Eastern States.

                      215/45/17 in WA is 297

We were quoted for that price too at various places but you can get it for cheaper.

ah bugger...just got a call from BTC saying that 215/45R17 are all out of stock in Australia...gotta wait 2 weeks
and apparently for that tyre size, $249 is around their cost price...???

Ive had my RE001 (205/55 16 $210 fitted) on my car (DC5R) for about 4000km now and I am fairly happy with them.

They seem to grip fairly well compared to my previous SO3s and may be slightly quieter, and a little bit softer in the sidewall. I haven't really had a chance to get a feel for the grip they offer due to crap weather, and I tend to drive like a grandma on the street these days anyway. I may go out for a couple of laps on them at winton next time I am there to see whether I can improve my lap time compared to the SO3s.

Pretty happy with them considering they are significantly cheaper than the previous SO3s.

Interestingly has anyone else noticed that the tyre are asymetric but not directional? Weird.

Out of gut instinct, do you think that their better than the outgoing S03's or would you still rate the S03's the better tyre?

And as for taking them out onto the track, please do! ...aren't you guys going this coming Friday?
