Does anyone know whats the major difference between the first gen and the second gen of the mugen ECU other than the redline difference (i.e. 8600rpm for 1st gen and 9600rpm redline for the 2nd gen)?
They are not really like 1st and 2nd gen.....just street and race parts...
8600 is 1st...
This one give you better low end power through the whole power band........this is design for street use...
9200 is 2nd....endy....
you can rev it all the way to 9200.....not much different between them except the rev cuts in 9200....I got 120kw on wheel with mugen airbox and mugen twinloop......great for track but the fuel consumption sucks....idle sits on 1k at all times....fuel pump on all times too.....this is design for track/race use.....refer to for sale section whtdc2 is selling.....the mugen sticker on top of it telling you its or race and not for street.....
nah...but going to put mugen valve springs and mugen metal head gasket...what they say is recommond to change valve spring to use with the ecu...but since our car's cams are different...we still won't produce much power after 8.5k....
Mugen ECU owner, was there any problems when u installed mugen ECU onto the car? Things like green-light flashing on the dashboard due to the immobilizer. Would the car still drivable if that green-light flashes?
There is a green plug behind ur steeling wheel....just unplug it and the annoying green light will gone....but make sure you put it back when you change back to ur stock ECU.....
