Alignment Setting Comment?

I don't have rear camber so don't bother looking at it

the front camber reads 0.5 but apparently the guy said it's 1 degree in real life

There is specs in your hand book. I think it's .5 is the right for the front.

So what does this mean? His machine isn't correct??? That comment doesn't make any sense to me.

Only thing i'd suggest is less toe-in on the front. 0'05" total is fine for stability and less "tramlining" etc but hurts turn-in response. Go Toe Zero y0!

Just thought it's worth mentioning just incase anyone is confused, that 0.5 = 50 minutes, and 0.6 = 60minutes/1 degree

you must get alot of pump steer.
I would think rear toe is better to be zero or -ve, for rear end stability.

how are you finding the turn in? +ve front toe is a good idea on our FF cars.

I didn't understand at first but yeah thanx dude.

tofu: I asked the guy to give me total 0 toe for front and rear but this is what he came out with.
The setup was good but I haven't got a chance to try it, maybe next week and I just got a new set of tyres so I can't really comment on it.

freakygeek: Yes my car is lowered to a certain extend and my rear camber is much better than b4 when I had my car lower than the current setup.

WTF is PUMP steer? I'm sure you mean bump steer...

Zero rear toe certainly doesn't give you rear end stability... and negative rear toe will give you instability under braking especially... the car will want to spin around!

Toe is a measurement of how much the front and/or rear wheels are turned in or out from a straight-ahead position. When the wheels are turned in, toe is positive (+). When the wheels are turned out, toe is negative (-)

Toe IN (+) at the rear will give your car more directional stability and stability under braking...


I think you just had your +/- the wrong way around....

Mmm I woulnd't get 10 mm toe in but If I want -1.5 deg front camber the guy couldn't adjust the toe to 0 as it always go to 10mm I don't know why and I don't know the solution.

Alignment systems I have seen which print 1.5 degrees means exactly that, 1 and a half degrees, ie. 1'30" ....

Yes, well our alignment machine does - 1.5 Degrees equals 1'30" (30"minutes = half a degree)
