well, if that is all true, you have a MASSIVE problem with SOMETHING on your car and should stop driving it until you can work out what is going on.

Also forgot to mention the lower rear trailing arm bushing really affects the handling, if that bushing is busted that can attribute to why the rear end likes to snap out on you. So you should get that inspected when you go in for your alignment.

All the bushes looked fine, as i have pulled off the control arms to get my exhaust on.. they don't look like they have had a harsh life. I've gone through the rear end and made sure everything is tightened up.

            here is a simplistic guide:

see how everything you have done leads to UNDERSTEER?

I get that it leads to understeer, but could it have anything to do with the fact i had my front dampening softer than the rear? the back end tends to get tail happy as soon as i push it hard around corners... i haven't had issues with understeer unless its raining.

" Decrease front rate - Front ride rate decreases. Front roll resistance decreases, decreasing understeer or increasing oversteer. " ... although my front spring rate is a lot higher than the rear. I'll take it up some twisties tonight around springwood and see how it feels. Just to double check.. i also do get alot of side wall flex from the tyres, not sure of the movement of the side wall will cause the car to oversteer.

Thats what seems like is happening to me, i really do apreciate the help and I apologise for my lack of knowledge... thanks for the link tinkerbell, I really think the wheel alignment might help though...

my point was that the guide indicated (at the bottom, you have to scroll down) playing with damper settings will have minimal influence on the overall handling attitude...

and i thought you said you have RE002's on it - the sidewall should only flex be flexing if you don't have enough air in them...

Air is at 45 psi, i check fortnightly, the main issue is the previous owner put 205/55/15 tyres on which are a tad bigger than what should go on.. but the car handled fine previously with the stock suspension, its probably because of the increased spring rate..

45 psi is way too high.

I would put 36 and see how that feels. Yes you will feel some give in the tyre but they aren't supposed to feel rock hard.

What you have is extremely high spring rate coupled with very high tyre pressures. This will make your car very skittish, couple a corner with any road imperfection and that is a recipe for trouble. I've had cars with very stiff suspension and it actually made me drive SLOWER because of this.

Sounds like you have quite a few things need in attention. Even with those spring rates you should be able to get your car riding ok without wanting to snap oversteer. Go through with your wheel alignment and report back.

Can't say I would like that setup on a daily driver though....

Thanks, i know it is high, and the biggest reason they are so high is because of the amount of give... but ill get used to it. I'll try it out tonight. Thanks again haha
