They are the tein monosport ones for the dc2r... when i took my old sway bar off the whiteline one definately looked alot thicker and weighed quite abit more aswell.

Stock spec
AUDM Type R (equiv JDM 96 spec)
Front - 4.4kg/mm
Rear - 2.5-4.4kg/mm (progressive)
The white line ARB's are usually a solid bar, maybe the stock Honda one is hollow? Haven't taken my front one off to check. Being solid won't make it stiffer for same OD though.
If the front Arb was stiffer then it would tend to make you under steer more. Possibly going to the linear rear spring on the teins would counter act that a bit but balance wise the tein vs stock falls in a similar ratio depending on how compressed the rear is. Stock would move towards more neutral balance the harder it is pushed.
All above is theoretical and what you're feeling could be hugely affected by a poor wheel alignment.
My setup has near stock dc2r spec springs except progressive front and rear with stock 24 Front / 22mm Rear ARB's and handles pretty well. Still under steers when pushed very hard though wouldn't notice on the street.

Thanks; i will get a wheel alignment after WTAC and be sure to take it around some frisky corners. I'll keep you guys updated, thanks for the help guys, much apreciated
Agree with tinkerbell...and what tyres are you using?
The stock DC2R setup is pretty damn good - with "street" coilovers and an otherwise stock suspension setup, my DC2R has done 1:10 at Wakefield in capable hands. Prior to it being stripped out, it did 1:13s.
I'd suggest backing off on the mods (and saving some money!) then learning to drive the car better at track days...rather than on the streets.
Not necessarily mate. Imo a good suspension also has to have some compliance to absorb uneven surface and bumps. Too stiff can be a bit jumpy and unpreditable. But yes as tinkerbell mentioned your car looks to be setup more prone to understeer with those spring rates and front sway bar so i guess thats less dangerous than a tail happy setup lol.
Damper settings, spring rares, tyre pressures and alignment which you havent got yet plays a big role in the cars handling. So get an alignment lol.

Haha, I'm booking it in at garage 88; for next week hopefully, I'll let you know on the results. Thanks guys.

Im using RE002s at the moment. In need of better tyres, i have a set of jdm 16 inch wheels which ill put on soon. I know they made a big improvement on the handling when i had them on the stock spring/sway setup
much stiffer spring rates (and 16k spring rate is STIFFFFF!!!!!!) is only better on a crystal smooth race track,
IMO even wakefield park raceway is too bumpy for 16k springs in a street car...
moreover, 16k springs in the front and means understeer + add a up-rated front sway bar = UNDERSTEER!
all modifications you make to your car must lead to balance, and from balance comes speed.
that is one reason why the DC2R is very hard to modify - it is very close to perfect from factory.
to make it better - you need a plan, an aim, a goal to reach - then you can really work out how to achieve that goal...
The people who i bought it off said this is a perfect street/track combo.. its on the verge of full blown race spec springs with really good dampening adjustability, when they are set on soft..it literally feels like im driving around on a cloud. When they are all the way on stiff, they feel very harsh... i always have them a few clicks off the hardest, but i might need to take it somewhere professional for an alignment and a better understanding of where i f****d up...
I was just hoping, if i stiffened up the rear that is might fix the issue. But so far it hasn't been too good.
Are there any decent places that you guys could recommend? I live in sydney...
I don't think the tyre is the problem also as the RE002 are pretty grippy tyres especially for the street. Unless the tyre size is way off spec for the rim, or they might be overly worn out..
what is puzzling is that you say the: "back end always steps out" and "oversteer for days"
but i am saying your set-up would be inducing massive understeer.
you sure you put the right springs on the right shocks?
I am a 100% sure i have... it has oversteered on me alot more than usual... as soon as i try and push it just a little, the back end actually wants to come out, i have yet to experience understeer.. i really dont understand how it works.
Get back to us on how it handles after a nice alignment, before you do that too check if the tyre pressures are good because tyre pressures alone can really affect how the car handles.
