Car won't start after new distributor install

i heard a similar sound when someones flywheel gear ring came loose, but doesnt really make sense given you only changed the distributor. Also if you saw the cam rotating that basically proves otherwise. If the crank/valvetrain are definietly rotating when you crank it to me it sounds like no compression or something. did you remove the plugs when you changed the distributor?

i believe some aftermarket flywheels do use a gear ring though, i just assumed OEM would be the same.
Guess it rules that out though
