I have some Tein c-spanners that you can borrow if you want I am in Sydenham so not too far away.

I've never used them personally before as I got my coilovers installed professionally but your free to give it a try.

Should work fine. I'm using my old tein ones with my current HKS coilovers

casue the tein are a bit much but just wondering are there cheaper alternatives?

None of those links work for me. $50 for a good quality tool seems pretty reasonable to me. The Tein spanners appear to be a one piece forging, and they're chrome plated. Most of the cheaper alternatives are laser cut out of a sheet of weaker mild steel or similar, and I've bent and broken a few.
