    You bend the shield (which is the part of the projector that gives you the light cutoff).

    Yeah, a bit ricey or bling. But true rice would be to put some cheap HID kit in your excel with Halogen reflector lights and blind the (*&# out of everyone.

      I wouldn't need to do that if you sourced some X5 projectors for me

        Well, I'm interested in finding well priced suppliers of these projectors, or other decents ones for that matter.

        Is anyone else interested in the headlight conversion for DC2?

            There was a set of Accord Euro HID lights at Honbits when I rang them to enquire recently - these would be ideal for a low beam retrofit...

            It's not really rice though I'd like to think of it as "performance upgraded lighting"

                Wouldn't mind the Euro projectors ... just have issues with modifying the bracket within the headlights. Any aftermarket sets that can be easily sourced, or where to find used DC2 headlights for chop chop

                Pics when your ready man, also a step by step guide would be awesome

                  I've been messing with another modification...

                  Swapping the clear lens part of the OEM projector onto the HID projector - this gives a sharper, cleaner cutoff line... (because the BMW X5 HID projectors have a "frosted" lens on them)

                      I'll have more of a play with the projector tonight... I found that in my messing around with it last night that you lose too much sharpness at the cutoff to gain much more colour than that...

                        HOLY F*CKING MOTHER OF GOD!!! THAT LIGHT OUTPUT IS INSANE!!!

                        You could blind any and every unsuspecting animal from 3km away, EVEN IF THEY ARE IN THE TREES!!

                              i received some DIY instructions from that RSX-CT (Todd) guy cos i was going to do the retrofit myself for DC5....parts were going to be expensive, (TSX projectors)
                              and i dont have time to do it...thats the other problem!
