    get better tyres, these will give you "more grip"...

    sorry, i just checked the australian website,

    http://www.toyotires.com.au/all-tyres/proxes-r888

    it must be old...

    why not 225/50ZR15 - toyo says these are suited most to a 7in rim?
    225/50/15 will add 10mm height over stock.
    toyo does say it fits 7" rim. But with every thing ive been reading. They suggest that it will decrease performance if the tire is to wide for the rim.

      Karl if you want to run the same diameter as stock, the 215/50/15 is only 0.09% different compared to the 195/55/15 stock.

      Where as the 225/45/15 yields a 2.01% difference in diameter.

      Then again, i have no idea of the availability of this size. I can only assume options are quite scarce.

        There is no tire match for that size

          so 205/50R15 is the obvious choice?

          i have been competing with this size for years on 15x6.5 rims, with such tyres as;

          Toyo RA1 (learning to drive...)
          Toyo R888 (winner NSW Supersprint Championship, class 3B)
          Bridgestone RE55S (winner, Shift Performance Track Day, NA FWD class)
          Kumho V70A (current leader NSW Hillclimb Championship, RR <2500cc class)

          there is no shame in running 205/50 size tyres - as long as they are proper R spec...

            So with say the Toyo R888 or Kumho V70a As they make both sizes . Would i have better performance from the 205/50/15 or 225/45/15 as the price isn't that different

              205 = V70A or R888
              225 = R888 only
