    RSX Catback Exhausts

    Hi all

Just wondering if a USDM RSX Catback Exhaust will fit an ADM DC5 Integra. Since it's catback I thought there wouldn't be any major differences but I emailed one supplier and he said the exhausts were designed for LHD only?

Has anyone imported and exhaust? Have any advice?

    Cheers

Just to clarify - you're looking to get an aftermarket catback from an American supplier or you're looking to buy the stock catback off an USDM DC5?

I have a Skunk2 Megapower 60mm which is an american brand. You need to make sure the exhaust is for an RSX Type S. Mine was a Type-S which is the equivalent to ours here and it was a perfect fit for the catback...

LHD has nothing to do with it

Okay so a Type S is the equivalent of an Australian base model?

And yes looking to get an aftermarket 2.5" system

No, the RSX Type-S is the equivalent of our AUDM DC5R, not our AUDM Base DC5.

Okay so is the RSX base the same as our AUDM base?

            Can anyone confirm this?

Should be ... RSX is just what they called the DC5 integras.

              02-04 RSX Type-S = AUDM DC5R
              05-06 RSX Type-S = AUDM DC5S
And pretty sure all RSX Base = AUDM Base.

So do you have a base DC5 or the DC5R/S?

I have a base DC5, just wondering what my best option is for catback upgrade.

They seem to be a lot cheaper in the states

Ah true ok. I'm fairly sure that if you want to run an aftermarket exhaust for DC5R/S on the base model you would have to have a Type R/S header or an aftermarket header because the aftermarket catback flange won't bolt up properly to the base model header. Unless you chop the flange from the cat and re-weld a flange that will bolt properly to the catback.

No, you misunderstand, I just wanted a US base model catback on my AU base model DC5, so will it just be a bolt on job?

                    Cheers

What benefit would it b to you to change to an base rsx exhaust??

Would have thought u would go for a type s exhaust with a jdm/audm if u just wanted to free it up a little.

These parts are not very expensive to buy as type s/r owners upgrade there systems.

I think he means he wants to buy an aftermarket exhaust from the states because it's cheaper. So he now wants to know whether an aftermarket exhaust designed for a USDM DC5 Base model would fit an AUDM Base model?? That's what I'm getting from this A logical guess suggests it would mate, but I can't be 110% as I've obviously never done it myself.

Not really cheaper from the states.. Shipping cost for a catback exhaust kills you

^Yeah these were the exhausts I was looking at, and they are a far bit cheaper than anything I've seen here.

I do not want a standard exhaust of any kind. I'm after a 2.5" stainless aftermarket catback exhaust. I just wanted to know if the ones sold in the US for RSX base models will fit the AUDM base model.

dnapol is this what you did?
