Aftermarket aluminium radiator and general engine reliability advice

I've run into a problem. Maybe someone can chime in on what is the best course to take. Ran into a good deal and bought myself a second hand defi advance zd gauge kit with sensors for oil temp/pressure and water temp. I haven't gotten any other parts just yet.

I will eventually be mounting the Earl's oil cooler kit with the Earl's sandwich plate for the oil lines to the core. The sandwich plate does not have sensor holes for oil temp/pressure. How can I mount the sensors?

Ideally, I do not want to run double plates piggybacked on each other. What should I do?

*i assume the K has an oil port on the head...

Thanks tinks. What kind of fitting would I be searching for? I found something like this but having a hard time deciphering it.

For your oil pressure, I replaced the stock oil pressure sender with the Defi one.

If the Defi oil pressure sensor is big and bulky, don't swap it directly. Feed a line into the block and get a reading off the line from the sensor. That way you will limit the chances of the sensor cracking or the block cracking.

For oil temp, I got an adapter for the stock oil sump plug and put the sensor in place of the oil sump. Both are cheap/free and work very well.

Awesome sounds good! Is it necessary to try and get an adapter that will allow mounting of both aftermarket and stock senders? What would happen if i disconnected the stock sender completely?

Nothing will happen. The stock sender isn't connected to the ecu.
You just have to keep an eye on your aftermarket gauge.

Even if the stock sensor was connected and the idiot light comes on, it's too late.

Tink is correct,
The female thread in the block is 1/8th BSPT and your defi thread is 1/8th NPT. There is a 5 degree difference in the taper and 1 thread per inch.

The difference is very small. I applied hondabond to the sender and just installed it straight into the block. It's been in there for years with no problems.

Can I run a 90degree fitting straight to the block attached to a short line with a 1/8 npt female fitting attached to the end for the sensor? What size line is recommended?

Yep. Size is -4an & use prolite 350 hose

1/8 bspt male to -4an male
-4an female to -4an 90 degree hose-end (most expensive part)
-4an hose - maybe 100cm long
-4an hose-end to -4an female
-4an male to 1/4 bspt male
3-way BSP T piece (optional if you wnat to keep factory sensor)
1/4bspt to 1/8bspt (factory sensor - optional)
1/4bspt to 1/8npt (new sensor)

if you jsut want new sensor added at the endof the hose:

1/8 bspt male to -4an male
-4an female to -4an 90 degree hose-end (most expensive part)
-4an hose - maybe 100cm long
-4an hose-end to -4an female
-4an male to 1/8 npt female
