Interior smells like gas =\

Lately sometimes when i enter the car in the morning, or when i haven't used the car in awile it smells like gas as soon as i get in, like today, parked it at the station, went out, came back, got in, interior smelled like gas =\ anyone knows whats wrong? does anyone have or have had this problem b4? DC5R btw xD any help would be appreciated

remove your rear seats and check if the fuel tank is sealed from the top and is not leaking, might be a broken or worn out seal.

and forgot to mention, this fuel tank did 100k's less =\ normally does 420, this time only done 310 and light is on =[

leak somewhere then. Check fuel lines? check tank it self?

Leave car parked somewhere on a clean surface and check if any leaks drop onto the floor over night or something.

a droplet of fuel evaporates in under 20 seconds, so forget this...

wongy - when was last service? what items were changed?

but yeah, agree with Flippit - sounds like you have a serious and potentially VERY dangerous problem...

get you car seen by a experienced person ASAP.

Unless you disturbed something around the top of the fuel tank. Id start looking at the bottom were it could potentially get hit!!!!!!

yeah, good point Karl - have a look at passenger side for damaged undercarriage - but use a torch, not a lighter though!!!
