an i really don't get how you 'researched' a 70RR, then seek info on how to stick with AUDM header?
It doesn't hurt to ask here for suggestions/opinions doesn't it ?

Since when did I mention anything about sticking with a AUDM header ...

Not trying like to sound like a dick or something [I respect you a lot] but if theres something that someone wants let them get it. So what if he can't get a jdm header or whatever else he needs, but he needs help of which option is best to go. I remember stephen talking about this exhaust months and months ago so I'm sure this was his most researched item he probably ever bought lol.

Nice exhaust Stephen you will love the sound!! When you go to an exhaust shop make sure hoist your car up and get ideas from them, let them give you options on which way is to go. Then give some of your ideas.. And then just be like ok ill let you know. So yeah some free quotes and an idea that was chosen patiently, you won't be losing .

Patients and think wisely and then you should be fine Good luck!!

Easy answer to how to install this exhaust.
Should of bought the 60RR which is a street exhaust and can be run with the AUDM Headers
Cutting the 70RR is such a waste of quality and money but do as you please it's your car and your money.
I stand by the above remarks and earlier ones as tinkerbell said you obviously didn't research this enough IMO

        EDIT:
        Thanks M@lew for correction!

60RS can be used with AUDM headers.

i was not saying not to, read what i posted, i was expressing my surprise that only half of the research on such a specifically unusual exhaust product (that is now in the process of production in Japan) been done prior to purchase...

buying something, then trying to work out how to fit it is backwards in my books...

So what if he can't get a jdm header or whatever else he needs, but he needs help of which option is best to go.
well what it sounds like he needs is a custom exhaust fitting which will be 500-1000 dollars...

            or JDM parts.

            i would go option #2

i still don't quite understand the rationale of option #1

So yeah some free quotes and an idea that was chosen patiently, you won't be losing

Top thread, would read again. Are you sure the titanium 70RR is discontinued? Who told you this? Just curious. Do you still have the stock header?

I'd do as M@lew says and if possible get a small slip jointed section with 3 bolt flange so you can just attach the 70RR from the B pipe rearward. This all depends on where the 2-1 to b pipe slip joint ends up on the car though, it might be too far forward.

Yeah the 70RR comes in Stainless and Titanium. Though from what I have been told by vendors (ie. JDM Concept), they titanium is discontinued.

I got the stainless steel version.

Again I have been told by 2 vendors that the titanium is discontinued. I reckon there is a possibility to get them in but maybe under sponsor or something like that.

I am still running stock header but plans to go aftermarket header in the near future. And what Matlew had said earlier was basically my option 1. Though what type of header I'm going with I'm still quite unsure.

Yep but the advantage of the method that M@lew and I suggested is that you don't have to modify the J's exhaust at all, thus preserving the fitment and resale value. Once it gets here test fit it without the 2-1 section and it should be clear what your best option is.

I'm asking for other suggestions how how to install the exhaust. Not what exhaust I should have bought. And also, there is no such thing as a 60RR for a DC5R.

If there was such thing as a 60RR I would have went for that. I have done some extent of research, but there isn't much out there.

The thing is. AUDM stock header is a 4-1. It will definitely fit straight on a 4-2 header providing with the sway as well. The point is that the system is catless and I want to run it on the street too. Yeah it sounds a bit stupid and ridiculous but that's how I want it. Not really concerned about resale value but yeah. I also had in mind if I do get the JDM header. The stock 2-1 downpipe with the cat. I was thinking modifying that with a aftermarket cat and see if it can sleeve onto the 70rr bpipe? Idk if that can be done or not ? It won't destroy the exhaust and keep value and it will run with a cat.

The AUDM isn't the same size as the JDM 4-2 without the 4-1 if that's what you're thinking.
