    DC5 Camber Bolt Question.

    Hey all,

I started instaling my front camber bolts last night.
Top bolt was fine and net me negitive camber. However! the bottom bolt seems to be my issue.
If i use the bolt the same way i installed the top one, i correct the neg camber. Meaning the bolt will produce positive camber. (as per instructions)
Now the bolt washer needs to face opposite from top bolt to net Neg camber.

The washer tab handle does not fit facing that way due to the strut design.
I tried last night with the washer as far as i could go facing towards the fender. But this just corrected the neg camber i had on the top bolt.

Any help or advice would be a big help as I was pretty frustated late last night.

          Ok, another night of fails

I spoke to ChargeR about it and did some searching on CRSX.
The tab handle has to be grind down so it fits the strut. (put dads bench grinder to good use)
Unfortunately I somehow snapped the inside tab off the washer. pretty pissed off now.

here is a pic i found on CRSX to show what im talking about.

The blue inner tab (sits in the strut) is the one i snapped

Timmy you can probably still use the bolt with the damaged washer, just put it in with the washer, loosen the upper strut bolt slightly, and then turn the lower camber bolt with the tab missing as you would for maximum negative camber. Then yank/pry on the bottom of the knuckle to get as much negative camber as you can and do up the bolts at the same time. It will be more inclined to slip though. Make sure you do the bolts up to at least what the whiteline instructions say, which was pretty tight from memory, at least 160Nm.

It is worth noting that Whiteline just repackage the Ingalls bolts. They must buy them in bulk from Ingalls, slap a them in a whiteline packet and expect that this makes them 3 times more valuable.

thanks Tom for all the help.
Got both bottom bolts in, But becuase the one with the snapped tab doesnt sit where it should,(after making sure the washer is where it should be) the camber wasnt the same as the other side.
So I kept the OEM bottom ones in and maxed the top ones. Still gets a good amount of camber. Going to order replacement washers and try again.
