DBA Slotted Rotors

Hey guys i'm in need of some help

I bought a pair of dba slotted rotors for the fronts.

Took my car to hanny's today for its 5000km service.
They told me that the rotors were wrong..
Whether this is true or not I don't know as they were supposed to change the brake pads,lines,fluid for me, but after the service was done they said they didn't have enough time today and told me to come back when I had the right rotors.

The part number of the rotors is DBA 42508S.

My questions are:

Are these rotors the right ones for my car?
I have google'd a bit and found they are for the dc5 type r, but they didn't
specify if it was for the JDM or AUDM version.

If they are the wrong rotors, what can I do to make them fit?

Would I have to change the calipers to spoon/brembo or something?

Would it be better off sending them back and getting the right rotors for my car?


If you guys can help me out it would be very much appreciated

does it say 42508S on the box?

do you have an AUDM DC5R?

do you have the original brakes? or JDM brakes?

As you suspected those rotors are for JDM DC5R. The part number for the Australian DC5 is DBA2500 or DBA42500S for the 4000 series with slots. I don't think there is any easy way to make them fit the Australian model, send them back and get the correct ones.

forget jdm/audm this just confuses sellers

always quote the size of the rotor; 300mm for audm.

That doesn't help though, because the JDM DC5R has 300mm diameter rotors also. The offset of the hat is the major difference.

hat height is 47.5mm for AU and 57.8mm for JDM

Bought them on Ebay from an aussie seller.

No they dont look like that but, they are a new design which works the same way i'm guessing see pictures below

You *could* put a 10mm spacer behind the rotor. The spacer would most likely need to be custom though and this is super ghetto.

Alternatively you could get the rest of the JDM front suspension conversion to suit. Take a look at THIS thread. For this you will need at a minimum:

2 x JDM LCA
2 x knuckles w/ hub and wheel bearing
Front swaybar with bushes and endlinks
2 x Brembo calipers with pads
2 x axles

This is going to cost a significant sum. You are really better off selling those rotors to someone that already has the conversion and getting the correct rotors. The Australian model brakes are not that bad.
