Oil presure gauge install

Rather than installing a sandwich.. Could i just removed the OEM oil pressure switch and install it there.. And leave them OEM disconnected.. I no the oil light will stay on.. But rather than that would every thing else be ok??

yes, you can install in the OP port, just remove the bulb. it is a 'dumb' sensor that does not interact with anything by the idiot light on the dash...

or install into the spare port under dizzy (experienced users only)...

Hi...
1) You can use " T " adapter and both will works .
2) Its much better to install that sensor on the engine wall(car body) then on engine
because engine is shaking during the ride and sensor can detach(after some time).

your English is good, just not your spelling

I agree that a T off the block is bad idea.

but all that effort to put a T on teh firewall - just to keep the OEM sensor that is set to make your dash light glow at 7psi - is a waste of time and money...

(i run a 60 psi warning sensor on the track btw)

Don't use those heavy oil pressure sender unit Had one break off the block.

Try find like the defi oil pressure sensor style, most defi style gauge will have these now. That should be fine on the block.

yeah - big sensors from electric gauges can be a problem too - (i was forgetting some brands have massive sensors!!)
