      because i dont have a DC5R

Yeh I know... I still thought you had the camry :P

What I mean is 45K for a CTR compared to 30K for a really nice DC5R. But if you ain't trackin' then CTR is fine. I think you would be able to find EP3 for mid-20's if you wait...

It doesn't just feel quick; it is quick, period.

I'm going to be a sceptic until I see hard data.

What cars are you comparing it to? What is it quick against? Did you get any timed runs? How does it compare to a DC5R/S?

Do you think the lower gearing compensates for it's additional weight? Or is it the additional torque? Or both?

This forums will go to S$%# if all we do is go on opinion.

                  45k

Buy a 2nd hand s2000 for driving enjoyment.

New CTR looks like the goods for grocery shopping.

Yeh good point, you could get a very nice S2000 for 45K. May not fit all your grocery shopping though...

why does everyone shoot down the CTR? it hasn't had a fair go lol

S2k is too impractical. 2 seats. small boot. meh... and i'm not going to spend $45k on a 2nd hand car.

CTR fits the bill nicely for me. i'm a poser

Ok then, but you will have to start ClubCTR cos you won't be allowed here!

What does "Type R" mean to me?

dc2R: Undeniably, there's something about this car that makes me very happy. For one thing, it's unlike any I've ever driven before and instead of listing specifications & mechanics let me just say this car is incredibly composed and spurs confidence.

It's the most amazing driving experience I've ever had. I understand that no car can be truly perfect, and I agree that this car is not quite that - but, for me at least, it is so tantalisingly close. It's really a bargain considering the 1.8L Jeckle & Hide engine & light weight package can keep up with some exotic cars of it's time and outpace others.

This is the benchmark. The next generation Type R package needs to offer the same level of driver satisfaction, thrill & performance - if not better.

Sadly, the 2007 CTR does not. I really wanted to like this car - it has the same familiar engine characteristics & crisp gearbox but overall does not provide the same driving experience I've come to expect from a Type R.

Perhaps this is why you're required to pay extra for the decals, it's a Type R in name only.

Chi: ...word of advice on who plays against rG
faijai: rg + awp = gg
hebe: Hahaha rG is just L337 bro!
