jimbo! good of you to join! yes what you said is true for circuit, but not for straight line.

anyway going from owning celica to ITR the LSD makes a world of difference. I'd love to drive a type M.

yes in the celica you get alot more creature comforts, like the type S i guess.
the rego says TARE 1085 but it's gotta be heavier than that!

redbook is not entirely accurate, but it's there to only give a guide...well, prices anyway.

too many textbook guys on here. Celica's ain't too bad. It's just no one mods them like honda folks do.

I know a few Sportivo Rolla's and Celica's that have upset quite a few DC2R drivers. Poor toyota guys don't even have off the shelf headers to buy.

just not many celica's in australia can break into the 14's thats all. NA that is

Just my 2c...I have owned DC2R (1.5yrs) then Corolla Sportivo (4mths) and now onto DC5R...

All three cars were stock besides the DC2R just having a catback exhaust, drop-in air filter & ESMM inserts. oh and the DC5R has been lowered and also running Advan Neova AD07 tyres.

I can safely say that with a launch my DC2R would beat a stock Sportivo and also stock DC5R as well as I've had the lucky chance to give both of them a run.

After moving from the DC2R to the Sportivo, I was cursing at how slow the Sportivo was and how it was such a boat with stock suspension and tyres...the Turanzas were CRAP!

After selling the Sportivo I picked up a DC5R, the DC5R felt much better in corners (probably because of the tyres) but maybe I'm just not used to the smooth cam change as it just doesn't *feel* as quick as the DC2R and felt on par with the Sportivo...

You are right...I used to be on the TOC forums when I owned my Corolla Sportivo and a lot of the guys wasn't really breaking into the 14s and if they were it was high 14s...

I've seen various bordering stock DC2Rs on here and OzHonda that break into the 14s comfortably...
