    Opti-Coat vs Ceramic Pro

I've been researching paint protection for the new car and I'm not sure which one to choose. A friend said that Opti-Coat has been superseded by Ceramic Pro.

Has anyone had experience? Any detailer recommendations?

I have heard that too, i've heard that Ceramic coat is thicker so its less prone to scratches. But it's more expensive.

Have you considered this, http://solutions.3m.com.au/wps/porta...tection/Film/? A few work shops in Sydney do it and I know Fly aka John was looking at getting it for his Lotus before. Just the front, half way up the bonnet and behind the wheel arches. You could even possibly DIY if you want to save money!

Bad thing about the film is that the car wont have that same glossy finish as the original paint?

Heard good things about reflect effect but they are quite pricey. If your car don't need polishing I'm pretty sure you can DIY the paint protection. Doesn't seem too hard, here is a DIY.
