    J's racing front fenders

just a question out of curiosity,
i had a thought are you able to have a j's racing wide fender kit fitted with the oem DC5R front bumper bar, would it fit???
or is it just made just for the j's racing front bumper bar to suit. just thinking of mixing and alittle of improvising with the fenders lol, really like the wided fenders that j's racing have. so if you could share your 2 cents with me i would be grateful of it. thanks!

I'm almost 100% they're designed to mount like OEM fenders where they meet the front bar and the door/skirt. They act almost like a "pulled" OEM guard in that the extra wideness is in the centre part above the wheel but it tapers back in at either side.

Same as you can use the OEM guards with the J's racing front bar, you can use J's racing guards with an OEM front bar or even other brands. There's a lot of examples of guys running different front bars with the J's guards (Mugen etc).

Just look up our own member "JDMmatter". He's running J's guards with a BYS front bar (which can also be used with OEM fenders).

Hope that makes sense and isn't too long winded haha.

Talk to Carl (MYDC5R), as he's running the entire kit, so would actually have experience on the matter.

Sorry mate, My Inbox is always full as i don't get enough time to come to reply to threads on here as much as i'd like as work is starting to be more intense since i take alot of extra work home with me every night.
Fenders should be fine with the OEM bumper but will look slightly out of place in my opinion. There NOT a perfect fit and will require some work and re-fibreglassing to patch up some rough areas. The guards bolt up fine but in my case they were sunk way to far in towards the chassis and we had to push mine out with some spacers etc

Answer to your question. Will bolt up fine and should work fine with the OEM bumper.
Will it look ok? I can't answer this as i bought the J's Front Bumper to replace my OEM one.

Found it! I knew I had seen pics of J's wide fenders with a standard front bar during my many years of forum lurking.

This will give you an idea of what they look like with a standard facelift front bar (albeit with a Mugen lip attached to it)
