Without forced inducting your not going to get huge numbers out of a 1.8L.
Want the car to faster. Suspension work. Weight reduction

Also how much power would I stand to gain by these two options and which would be better i've been on google for hours trying to find info re the stroker kit and b20 bottom end options although i haven't been able to find anything very usefull....

Make car lighter eg. weight removal. Lighter rims. no rear seats ect.
I think Tinkerbell runs a moded B20
Id go k20 or K24sigpic

Stiff mounts. Tune using 98 octain and lower vtec to 5G rpm.
I got 128.8kw with I,H,E, high flow cat and tune.
Personally i think a better wheel tyre compo had the best improvement.sigpic

And sell the B18 for extra funds. It's already been asked a few times but what do you want to use the car for mate? Street, bragging rights, track, drag??? You need to figure this out first and work from there. I don't see the point in just trying to build a powerful car if you don't know what your going to use it for. Not trying to bring you down mate, just trying to guide you in the right direction. You need to try and get it right first go so you don't waste all the money your spending!!!!

street legal. Any mod is illegal. If all youre doing is chasing Kw number's. Low compression motor and high boost.sigpic

90% of common mods are illegal if you don't have a engineers cert. That engineers cert is going to eat into your budget and time of you want to reach your goal.
Changing the head unit and speakers isn't illegal...... Yet. Do you need an engineers cert to okay the wiring of the head unit and speakers? I guess it could be a fire hazard?

I was more leaning to the suggestion of doing a Frankenstein, by buying a K20 head to put on a K24 block. This is what I would do in your position because with bolt ons and a tune it will give you good power and torque, more than enough for street anyway. I don't think it's worth going for a max KW's engine build if it's just going to be used in a street car, because there is nowhere you can use the power legally. If you were going to be looking into tracking/draging the car it might be a different story. But if you are adamant on making big power, as said above you put a big snail on it, low comp pistons and forged internals.

Around 180 if staying NA. Honestly Look into a good wheel tire compo.
Being FF. they lack traction off the line. Run some nice wide semis and you should be running alot faster. especially on the drag strip.
Kw don't mean crap
Its The ET and ET MPH that shows a cars performancesigpic
