i see. personally, I wouldnt be looking at klm. after doing so much research on a dc5. I would love to find ultimately a dc5 with stock everything, except for upgraded aftermarket mounts, full service history depending on klm. wouldnt you rather a car thats been well maintained then a car with 60 on the clock and no servicing?

yeh i 2nd that anything that has under 150km with full service history and fairly stock you cant usually go wrong.
i bought mine that had been sitting around for like a year and all i seem to be doing is fixing up problem after problem.

I'm looking for one too in VIC.
Seems almost impossible to find one these days in a decent colour and condition.
If you fellas know anyone selling, i'd most appreciate if you guys PM or i can provide a different from of contact if needed.

When I bought my dc5r it had 60k on the clock and stock as a rock. full service history with honda and interior leather re-trim. The first owner bought it brand new from honda and hardly drove it so it was kept in the garage most of the time.. its hard to find one that is completely stock with low kms...just keep searching, just dont rush gl

Im also in Victoria in the same situation, iv found the best thing is to broaden your search across the east coast, better chances of finding what you need and a chance for a good drive with a friend

im in sydney in the same situation lol.. however wouldn't mind a dc5s aswell... just the one i've found has been modded quite a bit..

theres one dc5r ive found with minimal mods: injen CAI, aftermarket muffler, skunk2 springs and the rest are audio related things.. would you think those mods could shoot any worries at all?

Just to bump the thread. Is it a bad idea to buy a car from Melbourne? It's had an engine swap done. 65k kms. 120 on chassis. Quite a few mods. I/H/E. suspension rims. Engine mounts. Torque damper. Looks pretty clean but don't want to make Thw trip and find out its dodgy. Any way of doing checks and stuff without physically going there?
