What makes you say that? It is in accordance with Schedule I of the CAMS manual. Assuming the rear belts are 40° from horizontal or less from the shoulders, which given that David is of limited stature () they should be. When I measured my car with the aid of a spirit level and a measuring tape the angle was right around 40-45°.

        greater than 40° is unacceptable.

(i did not account for such a short person, so might be OK...)

Yep, and also I forgot that I have a fairly low seat rail so it is probably best if dnapol measures his own seating position. I don't use my 4 point harness any longer anyway for just this reason, though I think the best solution is to drive within your limits and not crash.

            Okay okay, I'm short!

I don't plan on crashing my car, it's simply to hold me tight to "feel" the car. But I get what you guys mean

I don't push boundaries to the point is crash my car, I'd rather not track if that was the risk

Hmm.. A seat belt/harness is a safety feature. Not something to simply hold you in your seat.

Also note I did check the angle before my trackday and when I move the seat into the correct position (not the position in picture) my dad and I found the angle was less than 35!!

Also just a last thing, it went to a CAMS race meet last week with no problems in scrutineering, they check it and passed it

Hmm I do have an issue with my tak harness, I'm pretty tall and the shoulder holes in a pro 2000 seat are very low so it does stress my trap area when I used them. Autopower roll bar will fix this

All good guys, this forum is obviously about sharing information and I feel that safety issues should be discussed so that we all understand their implications!

Obviously from this information we can derive that less downward angle for the shoulder restraint is more ideal, so perhaps a proper harness bar may be in your future modifications.
