You'd be surprised how much air gets around the headlights.
My boot is stripped (only spare tyres and jack) so I could mount the battery on the passenger side... not a very hard process.
im sure i would be surprised but i would still run an inlet through the enclosed box, perhaps you could use a velocity stack and mould it where your fog light would go to route as much air as you can into the box?

Or I could be hard core and buy a passenger headlight, gut the high beam light, replace it with a tube... hey presto... sik intake!
