so seeing its a misserable day outside, i thought i'd write a blog about my cars and get people oppinions/thoughts and advice
i've always been into the honda scene, mainly integras...i didn't know much about jdm scene or even vtec when i first began to drive :S...so that is why i bought my first car: a 1996 integra DC4 (DC2,non-vtec) which was riced up, u know altezza tail lights, a PHAT cannon and 17in chrome rimss BOIII!!
it was a good car, until i finnaly got into the jdm scene and brought some jdm rims (no brand) and a replica mugen lip
by this time i was foamin,but felt embarrased when people asked "is it vtec" and i had to answer with a "no"...which made me toss up between 3 options...putting a b20 in it or getting a dc2r or a dc5r...after about a year of searching for something right for me i eventually found this immaculant DC5R for 19k...
it was completly stock, except for apexi coilovers and a exhaust tip which i was happy with...i then became a member on this site and saw a few people talking about injen, mugen gruppeM etc etc...so i wanted to buy one of these, but they were all $500 or more :O...but i found a mugen intake for extremly cheap...$200 cheap
im happy with this intake for now, good performance gain (i think) put it on the dyno and made 115kw...after that i decided to go for a exhaust upgrade...had alot of people influence me on what to get, but i ignored all of them and got buddy club pro spec3..which took 3 months to get over from japan, its a really good exhaust, very noticable gains and very loud (but with-standable)...unfortuantly its a very low exhaust too, which made me think of either raising the car or risk getting defected...for the first couple of days i didnt raise the coilovers, but started to get paranoid...so i made the car "llegal"
and this is currently where i'am today...once again i'am new to my car, have only had it for about 6 months...so any advice on anything would be appreciated and i will keep you's updated with how the car goes along
