Was at Officeworks to check out the venue as well as buy a modem router cause my one decided to shit itself. Popped out the camera and took a few shots before the rain poured down.

Cheers, yeh rear bar and pretty much all the lips are off are a bit off. That's what I get for getting it all done so cheap! Will get them done properly when I kill my lip or something.

Finally managed to score some tyres. Going to run 225/40/18 Ku31s on the rears whilst running 235/40/18 re-001s on the fronts.

Will be aiming to get my guards rolled tomorrow and tyres fitted with alignment and camber etc by thursday! Hopefully there's enough time.

Nice, very keen to see how the 225's will look, as I remember I was considering getting 225 up front for me.... but i got camber bolts instead and got the camber....

Well the 225s are going on the rear so should be plenty of room. Called up a few places today ('Road and Race' and BT Motorsport). They were all against putting a 235 on a 9.5 wide rim saying it was dangerous. Did the place where you got your wheels from fit your tyres as well?

The local shop that fitted my 225s to a 9" just gave me an odd look when I asked if they had any trouble fitting the tyres to the wheels. Said they fitted just like a normal tyre . Find a harder tyre shop.

Yeah I'm guessing though that they could be liable if it's not safe or maybe they don't want to run the risk of breaking the bead? No idea haha. I just called up the places that people have recommended for wheel alignment. I'll probably end up taking the wheels and tyres to a local shop to get them fitted and then just get them to do the wheel alignment.

I may consider putting the rt 615 (245/40/18) that's currently on the rear pair of 8.5s onto the fronts. They're not really being used atm anyway.

Will be getting mine down at tyre king. Hear they do a good job and are nice and easy going. Called up Sydney Guard Rolling but he's busy to next week so hopefully I'll be able to tuck them in and drive a week without killing my guards.

Needed to get front camber bolts in tonight to prepare for fitting everything tomorrow. Hopefully 1 set will be enough to fit them in. If not i'll need to find another set! Will be getting alignment done at Road and Race in Rydalmere. Fitting Falken RT615 245/40/18 on the 9.5s and Kumho KU31 225/40/18 on the 8.5s.

Just some snaps to keep it interesting.

SPC camber bolt (didn't end up using the rectangular washer, not even sure what it's for)

                          Loosening stock bolt

I believe this is how it should be fitted

                          Full set of KU31

When I had mine installed, Ben from Touge Tune put it on maximum camber, so when I got my alignment, the aligner guy can "lessen" the neg camber if need be, as he said its easier to lessen the neg camber than dialling in more camber. all the best in ru alignment, i reckon one camber bolt should be enough, im running 235 tire too and have heaps of cleareance up front!

Okay finally had the chance to get some photos but I'll leave most of them till tomorrow. I'll let the guys at the meet see it in the flesh first

Gave the wheels a quick wash

Front and rear all ready to go

Put on the wheels in an attempt to save myself from lugging around the stock set as well. Turned out to be a bad idea. Didn't make it down my driveway. Needed to jack it up and put the stockies on the rear.

                              The workshop

Nice vette and limited edition holden!

                              Peter working his magic

Was going to wait till next week for guard rolling but Peter offered his services. Was a fair bit more expensive but I figured that to do the alignment properly it would be a good idea.

Ended up with getting -3.5 camber for the fronts and -2.5 for the rears with 2mm toe in. Fronts aren't fully tucked in yet so will be aiming to dial some more camber in at the next alignment. From what Peter says, I'll be able to get -5 camber with just the camber adjustment from the Ohlins and the SPC camber bolt on each side. Not too shabby at all.

                              Just a teaser.
