Still in search for a pair to nicely fit the rears. Was considering 17 x 8.5 +30?
Nice find! I take it you will be puting the 9.5J at the front. How much camber do you plan to find? I take it will at least be 3 - 4 degrees depending on the tyres you plan to run.

I reckon you should look for a pair of 9J +28 for the rear. The 8.5J +30 face is really flat and will look really bad when you have the 9.5J +28 at the front.

This is of coarse all in the name of hard parking.

My pair of 9J +28 concave, how can a pair of 9.5J +28 not concave?

Unless the face design is different as widths and offsets are only a guide to how the rim face should look like.

Do you have a pic of both the specs you are talking about?

Here's 17x9.5 + 28 it has more dish but no concave.

Here's a 17x9.5 + 35 abitta dish abitta concave. Then they concave again at 17x9.5+22 LOL

Here;s 17x9+22 no dish just abit of concave

It's weird tell me about it lol but it makes it easier to fit and still get some concave city happening! I didn't know the 17x9+28 concave I always thought on a 9" rim they concave at +22 and lower that's it.
Concave Front and flat rears would be sickkkk for a fwd, Jingers setup.. OMG

Seems like we are starting to whore up Will's thread but I would love to continue this discussion

Tinka can I suggest to move from post #73 - #78 to the offset thread?

Will can you just post your rims again on this thread for the record haha

Edit:Actually I will do that for you Will.

Nice find! Couldn't see the picture at work before but silver CE28 really looks classy and racy at the same time!

CE28s look great! I second TeMps suggestion to get 9 +28 for the rear, for the superior face.

10 +15 has nice lip and concave, or so I hear.

Looking at your rear fitment of 9J +28, I wonder how these would look on the rears and perhaps a 10 +15 on the fronts . . Anyone know someone who can flare apart from Tom and his magic hammer?

Epic is what it would look like . A 235/40 on the 9.5, and a 255/40 or 245/40 on the 10 on the front, rolled rears and some camber, and rolled and slightly pulled guards at the front with a bit of camber too should get them under there. Possibly not going to be too functional though.

The only issue is the uneven tyre diameters, which would look a bit off in my opinion. A 235/45 is too big in diameter and a 225/45 is a bit much stretch on a 9.5 IMO so it really only leaves you with the 235/40 which is pretty small in diameter and would need a lot of low to look good.

I wanted to be the first to put a 10" +15 CE28 on the front of a DC5 though hehe.

In all seriousness though, I'll leave the 17 x10s to Tom. Shall be on the look out for 9J +28 or lower i suppose. Thanks for the recommendations!

EDIT: ^ I'll look into the 10J +15s, although I'm assuming the camber required would be massive. Fly down to Sydney and pull my guards for me :P. A lot of low I can do, hard parking is the game I'm playing atm in any case.

Nice info here! can anyone enlighten me on why this is the case? i thought the rim design was kept the same and the lower the offset the more concavity there will be. as the centre of the rims moves further and further in.

thanks man! probably won't custom order a set, bit too pricey. haven't decided what size i want either. As for colour, still up in the air. The mag blue on the s2k is quite hot though, so we'll see

There's a silver dc5r ini aus, i think "RUSERS" .. that bright orange colour.. its hot as.. he copied the silver dc5r in america though..... that sa hot colour, but once a person has done it... its not that original anymore. the silver ce28 will look classy and baller and racey all in one go... but could be bland at the same time being silver..... Don't go black though!
